Section A — About

From factory floor
to processing desk

My name is Darryl Haggan. I've spent over 25 years in the uPVC fenestration industry — starting on the factory floor and progressing into specialist order processing and quoting roles across retail and new build commercial. I know what happens downstream when a spec is wrong, because I've seen it from both sides.

That factory-floor foundation is what separates experienced processing from box-ticking. I understand profile behaviour, weld tolerances, glass unit sizing, and hardware compatibility — not just what to type into the system. I launched Aperture Precision to make that depth of expertise available to manufacturers and suppliers without the cost and commitment of a permanent hire.

Whether you need help with everyday quoting, overflow cover during busy periods, or someone to step in for a colleague on holiday, I can integrate quickly and get to work with minimal disruption.

Section B — Services

Services built around your requirements

— Six core service specifications —

Order Processing

End-to-end processing of uPVC window and door orders, handled accurately and efficiently from initial enquiry through to confirmed order.

Quoting

Precise, professional quotations for retail customers and new build commercial clients. Experienced across both sectors.

Overflow Support

When your order book grows faster than your team, I provide reliable additional capacity to keep things moving without missed deadlines.

Holiday Cover

Simple, no-fuss cover when your processing team is on leave — so your customers never notice the gap.

Specification Checking

Pre-production compliance checks against Part F (trickle vents), Part L (U-values), Part Q (security) and M4 accessibility requirements — flagging non-compliant specs before they reach the factory floor. Already up to date on Future Homes Standard requirements ahead of the 2027 implementation.

Flexible Engagement

No long-term contracts required. Work with me on a project, retainer, or ad-hoc basis — whatever suits your business.

Section D — Credentials

Experience you can rely on

01

Factory Floor to Processing Desk

25+ years in fenestration — starting on the factory floor means I understand profile behaviour, weld tolerances, and downstream consequences. Processing experience alone doesn't give you that.

02

Ready Immediately

Extensive Window Designer experience and Business Micros exposure means minimal onboarding time. No hand-holding required — I hit the ground running.

03

Regulatory Compliance Built In

Every order is checked against current building regulations — Part F ventilation, Part L U-values, Part Q security, and M4 accessibility requirements. Compliance errors are identified and flagged before they become expensive remedials or liability issues on site.

04

No Commitment Required

No long contracts, no recruitment fees, no employment obligations. Experienced support exactly when you need it — and nothing more when you don't.

Common questions

Questions clients typically ask

System access

How do I give you access to our system securely?

Most clients use remote desktop (RDP), TeamViewer, or a VPN connection. I've used all three and can work with whatever your IT setup supports. We agree the access method before we start and you can revoke it instantly at any time.

Software

Which version of Window Designer do you work with?

I have extensive experience across multiple versions of Window Designer. I also have solid Business Micros exposure. If you use a different system, let me know — I'm happy to discuss whether it's something I can support.

Turnaround

What's your typical turnaround on a quote?

That depends on the complexity and volume agreed at the start of the engagement. For most retail quotes I work to your existing turnaround expectations. For new build schedules we agree a production timeline upfront. I work to your deadlines, not my own.

Errors

What happens if there's a processing error?

I carry professional indemnity insurance for exactly this reason. My focus is preventing errors before they reach production through careful specification checking — but if something does go wrong, we address it immediately and professionally. Full details are in my Terms & Conditions.

Commitment

Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?

No. You can engage me on an ad-hoc hourly basis, a day rate, or a monthly retainer — whichever suits your needs. There are no minimum commitments on ad-hoc work and retainer arrangements require only 30 days written notice to end.

Getting started

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few days of our initial call. Once we've agreed scope and I have system access, I can begin processing immediately. There's no lengthy onboarding — 25 years in the industry means I hit the ground running.
